Visited Seven of Iligan City's Waterfalls in Four Days

I have not updated this blog for quite a long time, that's 20 days and 12 hours to be exact, my last post was about my travel to Iligan City for the Waterfalling Adventure Tour 1.0. It must be the lack of inspiration the past weeks :) But now I'm back! Hello I don't want October to just passed with only a single post in this blog. Here are some photos of the waterfalls I was able to visit together with the participants of the Waterfalling Adventure Tour 1.0. We visited a total of seven out of the 23 identified waterfalls in Iligan City during the 5 days of WAT 1.0.

During the first day of the Waterfalling Adventure Tour 1.0, we were able to visit 3 of Iligan City's waterfalls namely Maria Christina Falls, Tinago Falls and Mimbalot Falls - all majestic! Other attractions we visited were crocodile farm and the orchidarium inside the NPC Nature Park and experienced NPC Nature Park's Treetop Adventure - canopy walk and zipline.
Maria Christina Falls. Also called the "twin falls", the famous Maria Christina is the first falls that we visited during the Waterfalling Adventure, it is also the first waterfall I was able to see outside South Cotabato. Located inside the NPC Nature Park, Maria Christina Falls supplies electricity to the City of Iligan and other neighboring places in Mindanao. At a height of 98 meters Maria Christina Falls is the second highest waterfalls in the country.
Tinago Falls.  After our lunch at Maria Christina Falls, we then headed to see Tinago Falls. With its crystal clean waters -Tinago Falls  is so far the most beautiful of all the waterfalls i've seen. I'll be posting more pictures of Tinago Falls in a separate post.
Mimbalot Falls. After enjoying swimming at Tinago Falls, we went to see Mimbalot Falls. In spite of the fact that Mimbalot Falls is  owned privately, it is another destination everybody in Iligan City  can be proud of, there were already resort infrastructures around the area and still being developed.
Day 2
On the second day, we first witnessed the Kasadya Street dancing competition and the parade of the Karatelas of Iligan, took our breakfast and headed off to Dodiongan Falls in Brgy. Bonbonon.
Dodiongan Falls. At a height of 20 meters high, Dodiongan Falls has a wide pool perfect for swimming. The group enjoyed swimming.
Day 3
During the third day, we visited Pampam Falls and Kalubihon Falls. It was also during the third day that I was able to get inside a cave for the first time.
Pampam Falls.
Kalubihon Falls. A few more meters above this cave is Kalubihon Falls, I was not able to bring the camera because of the waters we have to passed through.
Day 4
Dalipuga Falls was the last waterfall we visited during the waterfalling tour and is originally not part of the itinerary, but because of the fact that Dalipuga Falls can be easily accessed, the participants insisted. Just like the other waterfalls, Dalipuga Falls has its own features to be amazed at, and of course.. di ko na naman pinalagpas na maligo! :)
Dalipuga Falls
And that's it - seven awesome waterfalls in just four days! Again, that's only seven out of the 23 identified waterfalls in Iligan City. Go waterfall hopping when in Iligan City, there are still a lot more to uncover.
