Google Mapping in Malaybalay City

Last August 25, our group traveled to Malaybalay City to help facilitate the Google Map-up event dubbed as "Let's Map-up the City within the Forest, Malaybalay City" organized by the newly-formed Bukidnon Photographers and Bloggers Society. It took us almost six (6) hours of road travel from Gensan to the capital city of Bukidnon, and just like my previous travel I enjoyed our trip to Malaybalay City. It was not my first time in Malaybalay City but my last visit to the capital of the Province of Bukidnon was more than 5 years ago. I actually went to one of the colleges in Valencia City, it's neighboring city.

In going to Malaybalay, we used the Gensan-Tacurong-Bukidnon route, check it out using Google Maps below.

We arrived at the map-up venue which is Green Ridge Hotel just in time at around 9AM, participants were already there when we arrived, we took our breakfast and then proceeded with the map-up. Participants of the Malaybalay Google Mapping were very interested to know how they could help in editing and adding places using Google Map Maker. It was actually the most interactive Google Mapping event that I have attended so far, they have participants from the business sector, education, LGU, tourism, bloggers and photographers.. It was a success, the event ended at around 4:00 PM. Here are some of the highlights of my trip to Malaybalay City, Bukidnon together with Doc Remo, Sir Avel, Alexis and Xyrilloid.
Green Ridge Hotel. This is where we stayed while in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. This was also the venue of the Malaybalay Google mapping event. Green Ridge is located just near the Kaamulan Grounds at the provincial capitol compound of Bukidnon.
