Dodiongan Falls | Iligan City

Iligan City is known for its majestic waterfalls. There are more than 30 waterfalls in the city according to their tourism office 23 of which were already identified and others still unexplored.

And I feel proud to have already visited not only one but seven of  Iligan City's awe-inspiring waterfalls. That was when I got invited by the Iligan Bloggers Society, Inc. (IBS)  for their first Waterfalling Adventure Tour (WAT 1.0) last year.

Yup, seven magnificent waterfalls in just 5 days and one is Dodiongan Falls in Brgy. Bonbonon, Iligan City. We  visited Dodiongan Falls during our 3rd day of chasing Iligan City's waterfalls and was the 4th  falls that we visited. It stands proud at about 20 meters high, it's water drop was strong and massive flowing down a large pool surrounded with boulders and huge rocks.

The following are some of my photos of Dodiongan Falls. Enjoy!

Dodiongan Falls. About 20 meters high (65 feet) and a large pool with clean and cold waters.
Awesome rock formations surrounding Dodiongan Falls.
Me too proud to have braved to climb this huge rock, see the last photo :)
Shugah of Wandershugah.com from Bukidnon here, enjoying Dodiongan Falls.
We enjoyed the waters. Took photos.
Took more pictures and appreciate nature.
Definitely Dodiongan Falls is a must-visit when in Iligan City.
Brgy. Bonbonon where Dodiongan Falls is located is 14.5 Kilometers away from the city proper. Available public transport from the city proper are jeepneys then habal-habal (motorcycle) ride. Estimated time for travel is about 1.5 to 2 hours from the city proper then about 20 minutes  easy trek from the start point of Dodiongan Falls Trail. Ask the locals for directions.. :D
